Jerry O`Connell considered a vasectomy
The 36-year-old actor - who has twin daughters, 22-month-old Dolly and Charlie, with wife Rebecca Romijn - admits taking time off to care for the girls while his spouse returned to work was tougher than he expected and he has now vowed not to increase his family.
He said: "I thought it was going to be a lot easier than it actually was. I thought I`ll just slap some diapers on, throw some food in them and that would be it. I thought it would be like one of our dogs.
"Will we have more? No, that`s it. I took one of my dogs to the vet the other day and I was really considering going in and getting fixed myself."
Despite his difficulties in getting to grips with his twins, Jerry insists he isn`t as strict with them as Rebecca is.
He explained: "My wife is very much into getting the gluten free and all of that. I`m the worst, I take them right to McDonalds and get them a happy meal, but they love it."
The `Defenders` star says his girls are "crazy" but he loves their energy.
He added in an interview with website PopEater: "I didn`t really lose my mind; it does get crazy with not one but two babies. But I wouldn`t trade it in for the world.
"They`re great, my children are really crazy. They love to wake up at three in the morning and have like a rave in the living room."
